The Teen Assessment Project (TAP) Survey is conducted every four years to gather hyper local information regarding the issues facing teens in our community. The 2022 survey marks the 7th survey and 20 years of data. Approximately 79% of the total population of students in Madison County School Districts took the survey. The report encompasses results to issues related to: student worries, alcohol, tobacco, other drug use, relationships, sexual behavior and mental health.
Tina Louis is the Director of the Madison County Youth Bureau and facilitator of the survey, she discusses some of the survey results. Lauren Davie Smith, the Program Director for BRiDGES/MCCASA, talks to us about how BRiDGES and other agencies look at the responses to see what programming could positively impact our youth.
