Harris Wins Cobb, Loses Georgia

Vice President Kamala Harris secured 57% of the vote in Cobb County, but ultimately lost the state to former President Donald Trump, who garnered 51% of the overall vote. Harris received over 225,906 votes in Cobb, compared to Trump's 167,000. Although Harris achieved a 15-point victory margin in Cobb, surpassing Joe Biden's 14-point margin in 2020, the results remain unofficial until certified by the Cobb Board of Elections on November 12. Cobb County, historically a Republican stronghold, has shifted blue in recent presidential elections due to demographic changes and population growth. This trend reflects Trump's challenges with college-educated suburban voters. Additionally, Cobb Chairwoman Lisa Cupid was reelected with a 10-point lead over Republican Kay Morgan, highlighting the county's evolving political landscape.
