Our vision for retirement is often too small when it should be a capstone time of enjoyment and fulfillment. Each episode explores how different interviewees flourish in this season, with reflection on strategic takeaways for our listeners.

Join Tony Prado as he shares his journey from journalism to purpose-driven communications, exploring storytelling's power, life’s deeper meaning, and how to craft a fulfilling retirement beyond finances.

In this episode, Len Hayduchok and our guest, Tony Prado discuss:

  • Storytelling as a means of connection and communication
  • Importance of finding deeper meaning and purpose in life
  • Transitioning from journalism to communications and government roles
  • Inspiring people to take action through impactful stories

Key Takeaways:

  • Storytelling is a powerful tool for connecting with people on an emotional level and conveying important messages.
  • Retirement should not be viewed solely as a time for leisure and enjoyment, but rather as an opportunity to align one's financial resources with a fulfilling and meaningful lifestyle.
  • Transitioning between different roles and industries can be challenging, but it can also provide valuable opportunities for growth and adaptation.
  • Inspiring people to take action, whether it's donating blood or engaging in community service, requires a deep understanding of their motivations and a willingness to connect with them on a personal level.

“The storytelling definitely plays a role in trying to draw people in and make them aware. And look, it's not easy. People still are not donating blood for the most part, but we're trying real hard. We don't have all the answers, but we're trying real hard."— Tony Prado
