Hey there, wave riders! It's time to check out what the surf forecast has in store for us, specifically at our favorite spots in New York. The National Weather Service has the lowdown on the conditions, so let's dive in!
Starting off with Kings (Brooklyn), we've got a HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK until this evening. Surf heights around 3 feet, so grab your board, but be cautious. Expect temps in the upper 60s, cloudy skies, and a chance of rain. Remember your sunscreen with that Low UV Index. The winds from the East are cruising at 15 mph today.
Now, shifting over to Southern Queens, the story remains the same with a high risk of rip currents. Keep an eye out for those surf heights around 3 feet and similar weather conditions - upper 60s temps, cloudy skies, and a chance of rain. Winds kick up a notch to 15-20 mph from the East.
Moving along to Southern Nassau, including popular spots like Jones Beach - it's the trio of rip current risks at a high level. The surf's riding around 3 feet high, temps still in the upper 60s, and those Eastern winds blowing at 15-20 mph. Tuesday brings mostly cloudy skies, Wednesday sees some sun peeking through, and Thursday looks sunny with temps around 70.
Venturing into Southwestern Suffolk, the scene doesn't change much - high rip current risk, 3 feet surf heights, upper 60s temps, and cloudy skies with a chance of rain. Winds are cranking it up a notch to around 20 mph from the East.
Last but not least, Southeastern Suffolk is keeping that high rip current risk alive with around 4 feet surf heights. The surf temps are cooling down to the mid-60s, mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain, upper 60s temps, and East winds of 15 mph.
Remember folks, be cautious out there in the water, watch out for those rip currents, and always keep safety a priority. So, enjoy the waves but stay safe! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
