Moving on to Southern Queens, also a high rip current risk until 6 PM. The surf is around 3 feet high, similar weather conditions to Brooklyn with temperatures in the upper 60s and winds reaching 15 to 20 mph.
Southern Nassau is also facing a high rip current risk until this evening. Around 3-foot surf height, cloudy with a chance of rain, and temperatures in the upper 60s. Winds are stronger at 15 to 20 mph from the east.
In Southwestern Suffolk, it's like a broken record - high rip current risk until 6 PM, 3-foot surf, cloudy conditions with a chance of rain, upper 60s in temp, and winds up to 20 mph.
Lastly, Southeastern Suffolk is seeing a bit bigger waves at around 4 feet, with a high rip current risk until 6 PM. Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and temperatures ranging in the upper 60s, surf temp in the mid-60s, and winds around 15 mph from the east.
Remember, if you're hitting the surf, stay safe - high-risk means serious business. Have a flotation device with you, keep an eye on the lifeguards, and don't swim alone!
And hey, mark your calendars - forecast resumes in 2025 before Memorial Day weekend. Happy surfing, folks!
