Hey there surfers and beach lovers! Ready for the latest scoop on the surf conditions in New York? Let's dive in!
For Kings (Brooklyn) including Coney Island Beach and Manhattan Beach, we've got a high rip current risk until 6 PM. Surf's around 3 feet with a chance of rain and temps in the upper 60s. Don't forget your sunscreen, UV index is low!
Over in Southern Queens at Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, a similar story with a high rip current risk. Surf's 3 feet high, and it's gonna be cloudy with a chance of rain. Winds picking up to 15-20 mph from the East.
And for our Southern Nassau pals at Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, Lido Beach, and Jones Beach, high rip current risk continues. Surf's around 3 feet as well, cloudy with a chance of rain, and temps staying in the upper 60s. Winds from the East at 15 to 20 mph.
Moving along to Southwestern Suffolk at Gilgo State Park and Robert Moses State Park, it's a repeat with a high rip current risk. Surf around 3 feet, cloudy with rain in the forecast, and temps in the upper 60s. Winds picking up to 20 mph from the East.
Last stop, Southeastern Suffolk at Smith Point, Cupsogue Beach, Hither Hills State Park, and Ditch Plains. High rip current risk here too, with choppy 4-foot surf. Mostly cloudy with rain possible, so be prepared and stay safe out there!
Remember, always keep an eye out for those rip currents and swim near a lifeguard. Stay tuned for more updates in 2025 before Memorial Day weekend. Hang ten and catch you later!
