The Book of Ezekiel, from Young's Literal Translation

Young's Literal Translation is an English version of the Bible that was published in 1862. It was translated by Robert Young, who is also known for his work on Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible and Concise Critical Comments on the New Testament. In 1887, Young created a "Revised Version" of the translation. Following his death on October 14, 1888, a new Revised Edition was released by the publisher in 1898.

The Book of Ezekiel is a significant piece of literature in the Hebrew Bible. It is a prophetic book that provides insight into the life and teachings of the prophet Ezekiel. This book is composed of various visions, prophecies, and allegorical stories that offer a unique perspective on the relationship between God and humanity.

Ezekiel, the author of the book, was a priest and prophet who lived during the Babylonian exile. He was among the Jewish people who were taken captive to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar. During his time in exile, Ezekiel received a series of divine visions and messages from God, which he faithfully recorded in the Book of Ezekiel.

One of the central themes in the Book of Ezekiel is the concept of divine judgment and restoration. Through his visions, Ezekiel conveys God's messages of judgment upon the sinful and rebellious people of Israel. He warns of the impending destruction of Jerusalem and the temple due to the people's disobedience. However, Ezekiel also offers hope for restoration and renewal, emphasizing God's faithfulness and mercy.

The Book of Ezekiel is known for its vivid and symbolic imagery. Ezekiel often uses allegories and metaphors to convey his messages.
