In this captivating episode, I have the privilege of conversing with the extraordinary Johan Lundgren, who serves as CEO at easyJet
Johan Lundgren joined easyJet on 1 December 2017 as Chief Executive Officer.
Johan trained as a classical musician before moving to Russia to begin his career as a tour guide, in part due to his love and knowledge of Russian composers.
Since then he has spent more than 30 years working in the travel industry starting out in various roles in travel marketing and sales and then moving into managerial positions. He became a CEO of one of the top three travel companies in Sweden for the first time at the age of 29.
Prior to joining easyJet, Johan was the Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Mainstream Tourism at TUI AG. Prior to this Johan was the Managing Director for the Northern Region at TUI Travel plc from 2007 until 2011.
He has occupied 7 positions in 3 different companies (mytravel), then TUI and then easyJet. His first job ever was picking strawberries in the summer as a teenager.
