They are kind and forgiving, unlike their mermaid counterparts, as well as beautiful in a sad, knowing way. Seal-people occasionally mate with humans, either because they choose to come ashore, are forced into marriage when their skin is stolen, or are summoned by dropping seven tears into the sea... In part two we will discuss a second story, analyze that story as well as the meanings of the Selkie itself, delve into my personal insight and applications of the Selkie, and summarize the past two episodes in a short conclusion coupled with all of the sources for our Selkies episodes.
