Following the events of The Monster Squad (1987), the world has become aware of it's supernatural elements, and 30 years later - monsters have become integrated into society. A team of monsters known as The Dark Squad - led by a vampire (Michael Fassbender), a wolfman (Matthew McConaughey), a Frankenstein construct (Seth Rogen), a gill man (Doug Jones), and teen specter (Millie Bobby Brown) - use their gifts and abilities to track down and catch criminal monsters. Unbeknownst to them, their latest client (Jake Busey) has hired the squad with the evilest of intentions - to bring forth the end of the world as we know it by luring an elder god into our dimension.
