Welcome to episode 32 everyone, whether in life or in business, doesn't matter, if you're like a lot of us, your business is your life.

We need to influence others to take action. Sometimes that action is to their benefit. Sometimes it's for our benefit, or like it should be said, it should be mutually beneficial.

Don't start with the hard questions. First, though, That's what we're going to jump into.

We have to get that first and most important. Yes.

Before the momentum starts working in our favor, this applies to every area of your business.

Set, the beer ever tried to push a car, or ask for a first date or get your child to clean his room or ask someone a stranger or per in for a favor. Have you ever tried to sell something?

Getting that very first and easier.

Yes, put that in quotation marks, yes.

Is the most important thing that you can do and spend your time on today.

We're going to talk about ways that you can use to get that first yes, Ryan Maren, author of 12 months to one million, he says, don't be an *******, meaning of course all you ever do is ask for favors, you have to give birth, not reciprocate.

Reciprocation is the job of the S E, not the ....

Yeah, definitely. Sean, I love this concept because we apply it every single day in our businesses and our life Don't way. I mean, when you're trying to accomplish anything with people, you don't want to come at them with, like, a huge, a big, big, big, big ask, right? You just wanna step them into it. And I think we've talked about this before, but the first thing that comes to mind is when you're at Disney World, and they just asked you to get in the line. Don't they don't show you how big the task is. It's just, yes, I want to write this ride. And then they show you the first little bit, and then they step you into it. So think about that with your customers, or in your own life.

I mean, when I asked for a favor of my children, for instance, it's like, Can you clean up no guru? And it's like, well, that seems like a pretty big, pretty big chore. Literally, Sean, I just had this conversation with scarlet the other day.

She had all these different toys out and I was like, can you just pick up the, the Tiles. And she's like, yeah, I can do that.

Then she says she doesn't like it at first. It was too overwhelming, but she was able to do one toy and then the next door. And now, you know, eventually the rooms clean the same thing. So I love getting the first the first ask, right?

Yes.

And you just told me a story said Speaking of that, I called you a manipulator because, you know, we were all kids once so we know what it's like.

But if you just say, Hey, can you pick up that trash? Can you pick up that toy?

Can you make your bed at the end of the day?

They cleaned the room, you know. They didn't even see it coming. So you just told me of a story about a non-profit organization that was doing a study on a college campus where they were asked him to take kids out on an adventure. Repeat that story. Would y
