Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
The Sonic the Hedgehog film series has been a surprise success! Starting out with an awful reveal trailer, Paramount wisely took Sonic's design back to the drawing board and ended up delivering a successful film franchise. With a third entry in the franchise set for release later this week, I wanted to talk about my thoughts and feelings of the first 2 movies and the limited Knuckles television series (despite not having finished that one yet). The Sonic film came out prior to any of the ultra successful video game adaptations we see more regularly today. In that sense it was a real trailblazer.
