Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
Gen Con is coming up fast and I decided to talk about my excitement for the upcoming show as well as my prior Gen Con experiences. In this episode I go over the events I have set for myself at this years Gen Con as well as some tips and advice for those who wish to attend, whether this year or some time in the future. Gen Con is like 2nd Christmas for me, and it took me so long to actually decide to go. Once I finally did, I have gone every year since. This is really just an overview of the excitement of Gen Con and a Birds Eye view of the schedule I made for myself, but you can expect me to revisit Gen Con again in future episodes, such as a post Gen Con recap after the show, and perhaps some more in depth discussions about Gen Cons past, it's history and legacy. Until then though, tune in to share in the excitement of Gen Con, whether you are attending in person, online or just vicariously - there is always lots to be excited for at Gen Con every year!
