The Bible is a unified word, telling the story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. It is unified by one subject and one main character: God. The Bible reveals God's character, faithfulness to His promises, and His work in the world. Through theological thinking, we can understand what each passage tells us about God and how it connects to the big story. We can look for God's words and actions in the text, connections to the big story, typology, quotations and allusions, and covenantal themes.
