This week we chat with Stuart Ortiz, the writer/director behind Grave Encounters 1 & 2 as well as Extraterrestrial. We chat with him about his latest movie Strange Harvest: Occult Murder in the Inland Empire, a mockumentary true crime film with cosmic horror overtones. Strange Harvest just premiered at Fantastic Fest 2024 and will be rolling out to other film festivals coming up. Mary Beth and Terry absolutely loved it and it was a joy to be able to chat with Stuart about his film, the world building, his relationship to horror and ultimately why Curse of the Blair Witch terrified him growing up. We chat about the Sci-Fi mockumentary's ability to terrify, Terry shares his story of watching it right before Blair Witch came out and Mary Beth shares her thoughts as a first time watcher.
