Today we're broadcasting from Hope College alongside the Van Andel Institute, our Holland affiliate WHTC. Throughout the show, we're talking about Hope Football and their Purple Community game against Trine this weekend. We were joined by some of the great Coaches and players from Hope to hear about their experiences at Hope, what the Purple Community means to them, and more. We also talked about the Detroit Tigers and Lions as we were joined by some of our great insiders. We kicked off the show talking about the Tigers clinching a Playoff spot as former Major Leaguer John Vander Wal joined us. He and Huge talked about the series against the White Sox, gave their thoughts on how game 1 will go against the Astros, and more. We then talked about the 4-0 Hope Football team as Head Football Coach Peter Stuursma joined us. He talked about how well the team is doing at this point in the season, talked about the great culture and students at Hope, talked about what this Purple Community game means to him, talked a little about the Lions, and so much more. Throughout our final two hours, Huge was joined by Jeff Risdon from Lions Wire and Draft Wire. During that time, he and Huge talked all about our Detroit Lions as they're set to take on the Seahawks tonight. Jeff and Huge discussed some of the storylines surrounding the Lions, they talked about the injuries that this team has and told us who will be ready for tonight's game. They also previewed the game, talked about how the two teams stack up, talked about what could give the Lions troubles, gave their thoughts on why the Lions will win or lose, and more. At the end of the second hour, we were joined by Hope Running Backs Tyler Amos and Chance Strickland. They told us about what their experience has been like at Hope College, talked about playing under Coach Stuursma, and told us who they'll be playing for in their upcoming Purple Community game. We wrapped up the show with Hope Linebacker Cole Luhmann. He talked with Huge about his Hope College experience, talked about Hope's big win over Alma this past weekend, talked about their culture, and more.
