Part 1:
We talk with Mark Joseph Stern, from Slate.com
We discuss the Laken Riley Bill, an anti-immigration bill that has a huge impact on how immigrants will be treated. It provides for indefinite detention and deportation for people who may be legally in the country, for no reason than that someone has accused them of some illegal action. Its applies to minors. It allows local police and local judges to make decisions that should be made on a national level. It can bring about travel bans against whole countries because of suspicions about one individual who may be departed back to his/her home country, despite that country not accepting that.
Part 2:
We talk with Peter Greene, who writes for Forbes.
We discuss how religion has been taken over by the state. This is true in Louisiana, where religious statements are mandated by the state in public schools. Specifically, the state's version of the ten commandments must be posted in public schools, including pictures of Mike Johnson and Moses, as equivalent authorities. This takeover of religion, and subsuming it into the politics has destroyed the previously observed of the separation of church and state. No other religions besides evangelical christianity is represented.
