Part 1:
We talk with Shelley Mann-Ley, Executive DirectorHealthy Climate New Mexico.
She describes and discusses ways to prepare children and young adults to cope with the environmental changes. One of these is to train them to become first responders to disaster events, such as the current California fires, or floods. This can help mitigate the feelings of helplessness and terror, which can cause emotional problems.
Part 2:
We talk with Tom Kemeny, Associate Professor, Monk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto.
We discuss the growth of wealth inequality world wide. The data show that wealth is related to place. We look at wealth, rather than income.
