In audio we talk a lot about audiences. Who's listening, where they're listening and why... but we rarely flip the telescope around and look at who is MAKING the content.
That changed in June 2022 when Sounds Profitable teamed up with Edison research in the USA to perform the first-even large scale study of the people who make podcasts... called 'The Creators' survey.
On this episode of Sound Business Jim Salveson speaks to Tom Webster of Sounds Profitable and the architect of the research about why he did it, what was in the results and what the learnings are for the podcasting industry as a whole.
