On the show today, Brian is joined by Lucy Jung, the CEO of Charco Neurotech, a MedTech start-up that has created a non-evasive device for managing the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. More than 10 million people across the world suffer from the stiffness and slowness attributed to Parkinson’s. The CUE1 device has been successfully tested by patients who have claimed reduced symptoms by 9.3 points, three times the level of the common methods of managing the condition.
Lucy speaks to Brian about the early results her company's device, the theories behind why it may be an effective treatment, thoughts on medical innovation and how technology could be the innovator that medicine needs to get closer to breakthroughs in patient care.
