Imagine growing up in the era of the old-fashioned “whoopin” and then having a stark change in perspective.

As I looked back on my upbringing and the choices I made with my own sons, I had to ask: Is the violence we choose as discipline the best way to raise our precious children?

I recorded this episode months before this podcast had a home or even a name. (Boy oh boy can you tell by the audio and the editing, but I digress). But I feel compelled to release it to spark a discussion. I added an Epilogue to provide some footnotes and updates right before publishing.
