For our "Sort-Of" Summer Special, we set ourselves a little literary homework and went off to research the giants our favourite subgenres stand on the shoulders of. Emma focused on paranormal romance and couldn't resist creating a Venn diagram, and Jess went the whole hog, digging back into romance in fantasy as far as The Iliad!

There might be some spoilers for some of the older books discussed, such as Dracula and Interview with the Vampire*.
