Happy Monday, Goons! For our last week of Back to School here on Slashers Podcast, join Doug, Jason and Ade as they discuss Prom Night 2: Hello, Mary Lou. This one is a guilty favorite; it’s charming, it’s gory, it’s chock full of nudity and all things lewd and lascivious. Mary Lou is one of our more progressive femme fatale slashers and she deserves all the accolades from this performance. While part 2 doesn’t necessarily fall into the same realm as part one-- especially since it has a supernatural entity and possession-- we can tell that it clearly borrows from our favorite horror classics, such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Carrie, The Exorcist, and more. In addition, find out why we feel The Faculty borrows elements from this underrated 80s favorite. Not to mention, Michael Ironside is a treasure in this one, too.
