A federal small business registry deadline, known as beneficial ownership information reporting, was set to take effect on January 1, but an NFIB lawsuit against it has put that deadline on hold. NFIB member Michael Murray, U.S. Representative Warren Davidson, and the NFIB Small Business Legal Center’s Vice President and Executive Director Beth Milito discuss the latest updates on the law, its impact on small businesses, and efforts to stop it.
