Marie McGovern and Charlotte Harris discuss what was like having a horrifically abusive stepdad and having to defend her mom and siblings. Questions still linger regarding her mom's "suicide" and other females who died under mysterious circumstances or went missing linked to her stepdad Don Studey.
Even after having their mother exhumed, her cause of death was changed from suicide to undetermined, but why not homicide? Just the fact Marie and Charlotte's mom was the third wife to "take their own life" should raise enough questions to open an investigation. People left behind still do not want to discuss Don.
Marie and Charlotte are bravely stepping out not only seeking justice for their mom, but more importantly, bring attention to domestic violence. Family and domestic violence affects an estimated 10 million people every year; as many as one in four women and one in nine men are victims of domestic violence each year.
