From Matthew 5:38-48, Stephen discusses how turning the other cheek is not "doing nothing," but is instead a way of resisting violence and giving the violent a new way to see reality. The way of Jesus does not allow us to take a human life to solve a problem, no matter how logical that solution may seem.
