Manage episode 339628835 series 3269865
Anna Ford joins the crew to talk about the importance of aftercare, as well as promote the Amplify Junior event at New Vocations. New Vocations is the oldest and largest Thoroughbred and Standardbred adoption facility in the United States, and Ford serves as its thoroughbred program director. Co-host Kaitlin Christopherson has a personal connection as she adopted Charles, her off track Thoroughbred, from New Vocations. This episode was recorded prior to the Aug. 27 Amplify Junior event. At the event children and their families learned about what Thoroughbreds can do after their racing careers and got to meet many horses as they toured the farm, and also watched a riding demonstration!
