Dan Whitford is the founding member of Australian dance act Cut Copy. Cut Copy were part of the first wave of Australian dance acts that put the Australian indie-dance scene on the map and paved the way for bands like Miami Horror, we owe them a lot! Cut Copy are five records deep now and their latest offering ‘Haiku From Zero’ is my favourite to date, it’s sophisticated and mature in all the right ways with lyrical depth and excellent production. Dan and I sat down to discuss being Superman on tour and Clark Kent at home, having fantastical song and album titles, moving back to Melbourne, having an artistic mind enriched by design and lots more.
