About Episode
Lisa Swanson was always a smart and talented young woman. Her education came easy and making friends wasn’t hard. As a young athlete she found herself playing a variety of sports with the same passion and dedication she had shown her school work and friends. Yet, each sport she played she was asked to “be more lady-like” or “not be so aggressive”. She was respected by coaches and teammates for her dedication and commitment. It wasn’t until she played for a couple of coaches who saw the unique fire within her that when coached right cultivated a one of a kind blend of talent, power and commitment. As an adult Lisa was referred to a co-ed flag football league. Shortly thereafter, she tried out for a professional women’s football team and as a result Lisa finally felt empowered and not diminished for her strength and power. While she was fulfilled and feeling on purpose she was challenged in a way her body and mind had never known before.
