What is up everybody!? Hope your hump day is going well. Today's topic is a really important one. It's something that I have struggled with for a very long time...I have been able to control it more in recent years, but comparing myself to others has caused more pain and heartache than I would like to remember. You are walking a path, so is everyone else. Sometimes those paths have similarities, but no two are the same. By comparing yourself to others you are doing two things, first, you are putting yourself in a position to be let down. There is no shortcut on your path, no easy button, no secret path. There is hard work and time in. Second, nothing worth doing is easy or fast. Finding success takes consistent daily action over a long period of time. If you are constantly comparing yourself to others that have already found success, then you begin to get frustrated and want things to hurry along. You lose patience. Once you have lost patience, you are less likely to follow through with consistent daily actions over an extended period of time. You are either on your path and working towards success or you aren't. Both situations are fine, it's your path and everyone's path is different. Own your current situation and focus on what you need to do to create your path. Stay focused on what you are doing, where you are growing and where you are going. And lastly, along the way, lift up the people around you, congratulate them on their success, support them in their failures and push them to be the next best version of themselves. Even if they are in a better life situation. I hope this helps, remember comparing yourself to others will ALWAYS lead to unhappiness and discontentment. Do your self a favor and don't fall into the trap of comparison. Walk your own path the best you can. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jason-sullivan/support
