Happy Monday! What is up everyone, what is going on? Today I am flipping the script on you...Last week we covered why your best employee leaves...today we are talking about why you should make them leave.

This is a touchy subject because it’s dealing in very a subjective topic. You are talking about the impact your best employee has on the rest of your employees. There isn’t a number or range to determine what the right level of negative impact an employee can bring...you have to be in the trenches to really know, see my video on firing losing players for context on what that means.

The reality is, no matter how amazing your employee is, if they are leaving people with a negative view of their interactions on the regular, then you are hurting your culture, which directly impacts your companies ability to be successful.

If you have an employee that crushes day in and day out, but is tearing down teams and culture, they have to go. Now. I don’t care how big your deadline or how important they are to the success of the business to this point...cancer always spreads if it goes untreated. The further it spreads the more difficult it is to remove.

You action or non-action sends a very clear message to the rest of your company. It also sends a clear message to younger talent you are trying to mature in your organization. They see someone can act like that and still go far in your company. Don’t let this behavior linger, handle it and let the rest of your company grow to fill the void.

I promise, no matter who the person is in your company, Janitor all the way to Co-Founder, if you allow them to spread negativity and ruin your culture, you may get to the point of no return. Stand up for your people, your culture and your companies future.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week! Let’s go out and crush this week!
