Who did they influence?... inspire? and what bands took their simple and sometimes early pyschedilc creative rockin' vibe and made it their own? Tonight, Eric and I make a feeble attempt at honoring the band and whom they influenced. Shirley it was a fun time, with great tunes. Join in on this award whinning show and connect the dots through music. We found these bands as influenced by the Kinks: The Romantics, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Velvet Underground, Jane's Addiction, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, Camper Van Beethoven the Magic Shoppe, The Frowning Clouds, The Jam, the Knack, and the Pretenders and we finished with Killing Joke. Did we hit the mark? Were there other bands you can think of that we didn't address you feel should have been included?
