Tonight we changed the format a bit and showcased a few bands, The Cure and their new song Alone, The Tragically Hip and a beautiful solo artist Sarah Mclachlan both from our neighboring country of Canada. For us in Detroit, a 20 minute ride to the border...The Hip is a rock band fronted by poet and songwriter Gord Downie that passed in 2016. Their music was revered as an anthem to the country of Canada...respectfully singing about both the Canadian folklore and history it has to offer. The Hip did their way. Respected in the world of music.
Sarah Mclachlan is also one of the most respected female solo artists of the 1990's and 2000's and the creator of Lilith Fair. She also is Canadian. Her voice is undeniable on of the best.
