Welcome, welcome, welcome to the first episode of the Monthly 10 From the Land, a Cleveland Sports and More Podcast. The Guys, Gerber, Danko and Chuck are back for a new show, but, still talking sports and more in the Land. Each episode the Guys will run down the 10 biggest stories in local sports, national sports and pop culture from biggest story to (maybe complete) nonsense. This month, the Guys look back at February and start with the Cleveland Cavs early month loss to the Celtics, the big trade that followed and the February 28th comeback win over the Celtics. The Guys also talk Myles Garrett trade demand and why exhibition hockey was better than the Super Bowl and All Star Weekend. The their second segment (27:34) the Guys are Stuck in the Middle and talking Luka Doncic trade, the return of the baseball Guardians and the first two episodes of HBO masterpiece the White Lotus. In the final segment (52:39) the Guys look into the Bottom of the Bottle for their final four stories. The Guys talk about the sad passing of Gene Hackman and their favorite lines and movies by the brilliant actor. The Guys also talk Diana Taurasi retirement and try to find the appropriate pro athlete comp. The Guys end the show talking about recent Anti-Masturbating laws and trying to find (without much luck) a new nickname for Cavs rising star Evan Mobley. Errors – At one point Gerber referenced the Cavs trading for “Deante Hunter”, he probably meant De’Andre Hunter. But, maybe he was talking about Michigan independent film maker and video editor Deante Hunter.
