Alexandra’s Bio - Mother of two Alexandra de Faucigny is the epitome of the modern entrepreneur. Today her online French boutique Tendre Deal (tendredeal.co.uk) is filled with beautiful, independent French children’s brands who all share a common thread - social consciousness and exceptional high quality.
Having left Paris after a ten-year marketing career, the mother of two never imagined that motherhood would impact her so consummately that she would be inspired to introduce the naturally made French accessories and toys which were staples of her children’s early years, to parents in the UK;
“There has long been a love of the famous French childrenswear brands in the UK, but I wanted to support the lesser known French makers whose products are kind to the environment and safe for our children, to UK parents.”
Today Tendre Deal’s offering is made up of brands committed to making a social contribution such as the gorgeous Made in France range by Annabel Kern manufactured in small ateliers in Marseille by disabled young people with a distinct care and love for detail or the cute fashions crafted by Fairtrade certified La Queue du Chat manufactured in India exclusively with organic cotton ensuring a fair wage, an equal pay and medical insurance for the workers and their families, supporting an orphanage in the region where the clothes are produced and a charity that provides essential assistance to homeless mothers.
