What is the magic that connects you with the people you're closest with? Think of the people closest to you in your life: your best friends, your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend, good buddies... what connects you with them? Is it because you have something in common? If so, then what does that say about the whole “opposites attract” thing? It seems that neither idea captures it completely, so there must be something else - some grand unified theory of what connects us with the people we love to be with - what is it?
