As has become our tradition in The Kitchen, here's my final set of 2024 to follow you through the night & into the new year...
Take a little of my Night Sessions, toss in some Kitchen Cellar and parts of my Notes from the Overnight and you have 'Round Midnight, my special intimate jazz party for the end of last night of the year. For the ninth New Years Eve, I open with a different variation of Solitude as a tribute to Ron Cuzner who's radio show The Dark Side would not only be my New Year's night soundtrack, but would supply me with Jazz on so many nights to numerous to mention.
And once again if you start this show at exactly 11:00 pm, midnight will strike a few seconds into Chuck Israels's bass solo during 'Round Midnight by Bill Evans.
