Good morning, weather watchers! It's your friendly neighborhood meteorologist here with the latest forecast for the Dallas area.
We're looking at a chilly weekend ahead, so bundle up! Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies that will clear out, with temperatures holding steady around 26 degrees. Winds will be coming from the north northwest at around 15 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 25 miles per hour.
Sunday brings us a sunny day with temperatures climbing to a brisk 36 degrees. Those north winds will continue, ranging from 5 to 15 miles per hour.
Martin Luther King Day is showing increasing cloud cover, with a high near 39 degrees and gentle east winds. Monday night gets interesting - we've got a 30 percent chance of snow showers after midnight, with temperatures dropping to around 25 degrees.
Tuesday looks partly sunny with a high of 36 degrees, and Wednesday warms things up a bit with abundant sunshine and temperatures reaching 45 degrees.
As we move into the latter part of the week, expect a gradual warming trend. Thursday will be sunny with temperatures near 50 degrees, and by Saturday, we'll see a pleasant high of 61 degrees.
Oh, and heads up - there's a Cold Weather Advisory in effect, so make sure you're dressed in layers and staying warm!
