Jack and the Beanstalk: What a Whopper!
Laugh your stockings off at Jack and the Beanstalk: What a Whopper!, a side-splittingly silly and staggeringly naughty adults-only pantomime. From the team behind Sleeping Beauty Takes A Prick, this panto turns the classic tale on its head. Meet Jack Trott, who is very poor, very gay, and very horny, living with his mum on a dilapidated farm, miles away from the nearest Grindr user. When Jack sells their beloved cow for a handful of magic beans, his mum throws them in the compost—only to wake up to the biggest, thickest stalk they’ve ever seen. Will Jack meet a giant at the top? And if so, will he be all in proportion? This cheeky, magical musical adventure has all the fun of a panto, but definitely not for all the family! Featuring a brilliant performance by Matthew Baldwin (of Queen Gertrude fame), who returns to play Dame Trott.
Interview with John Hollingworth
We also sit down with actor John Hollingworth for an in-depth interview. John recently dazzled audiences in Reykjavik at Hampstead Theatre (4 stars from The Telegraph, Time Out, and The Evening Standard), and starred as Martin Parrenster in the hit Channel 4 series Generation Z alongside stars like Sue Johnston, Robert Lindsay, and Anita Dobson. John is also set to appear as Seymour in the upcoming BBC and Netflix series Lockerbie, premiering in the New Year. Best known for his roles as Captain Henshawe in Poldark, Mr. Abbott in Gentleman Jack, and James Hartley in Mr Bates vs The Post Office, John shares his experiences from stage to screen and offers a glimpse into his upcoming projects.
