Military Sexual Trauma (MST) is sexual harassment or sexual assault experienced by a military service member during their service. MST can happen to anyone.

1 in 3 female veterans and 1 in 50 male veterans report having experienced MST during their time in service. However, the actual statistics are assumed to be much higher, as MST victims often don't report their trauma.

MST can be devastating, even often disabling.

It can also impact survivors long-term, causing lasting physical and mental health problems. MST survivors are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse.
