Good morning, weather watchers! I'm your friendly neighborhood meteorologist bringing you the latest forecast for Austin, Texas.
Bundle up, because winter is making its presence known! We're looking at a chilly overnight with temperatures dropping to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Those north northwest winds will be whipping around at about 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour - so grab that warm jacket!
Monday brings some sunshine relief, but don't get too excited. We'll see a high of 47 degrees Fahrenheit with continued brisk north winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Think light layers and maybe that cozy scarf you've been waiting to show off.
As we roll into Tuesday and Wednesday, we're looking at more clear skies and gradually cooling temperatures. By Wednesday night, things get interesting - we've got a slight chance of rain showers and sleet, with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Thursday is where things get wet! Expect widespread showers with a 70 percent chance of precipitation and temperatures struggling to reach 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Perfect day for hot soup and indoor activities.
The weekend looks more promising, with Saturday bringing mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing to a pleasant 54 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday continues the trend with a slight 20 percent chance of showers.
