Good morning, Austin! This is your Weather Wizard bringing you the latest chilly forecast that's about to turn our city into a winter wonderland.
Hold onto your winter coats, because we've got a Cold Weather Advisory and a Winter Storm Warning in effect. Overnight, we're looking at a 50 percent chance of snow with temperatures dipping down to a brisk 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Those north northeast winds will be gusting up to 25 miles per hour, so bundle up! We might see a light dusting of less than one inch of snow.
Tuesday brings a slight chance of snow before 9 in the morning. Expect cloudy skies that will gradually clear, with temperatures climbing to a chilly 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Those winds will be dancing around, shifting from north northeast to light north in the afternoon.
As we move through the week, we'll see a roller coaster of temperatures. Wednesday warms up to a pleasant 51 degrees Fahrenheit with some sunshine. Thursday follows suit with a sunny 55 degrees Fahrenheit. By Friday, we're looking at a delightful 60 degrees Fahrenheit - talk about Texas weather keeping us on our toes!
The weekend brings a bit more moisture with a 20 percent chance of showers and temperatures climbing to near 70 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday.
