Good morning, New Yorkers! Get ready for some weather updates to keep you in the know for the days ahead.
Today, we're looking at sunny skies with a high near 45, but don't be fooled; there will be a bit of a chill with wind chill values between 25 and 35 in the early hours. The northwest wind will start at 5 to 7 miles per hour before shifting to the south in the afternoon.
As we move into tonight, expect rain, especially after 2 am, with a low around 41. The southeast wind will pick up to around 9 miles per hour. There's an 80% chance of precipitation, with new amounts ranging between a quarter and half of an inch.
Heading into Saturday, brace yourselves for rain and the possibility of thunderstorms after 5 pm. Some storms could bring heavy rainfall, so stay dry and safe. The high will be near 51 with an east wind of 9 to 13 miles per hour, bringing new rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches.
Saturday night may see more rain and thunderstorms before 8 pm, transitioning to rain likely between 8 pm and 11 pm. It's expected to be mostly cloudy with a low around 35. Get ready for breezy conditions with a north wind picking up to 20 to 23 miles per hour, gusting as high as 36 miles per hour.
