Good morning, DC! I'm your weather buddy bringing you the scoop on our weekend forecast.
Let's break it down day by day. Today is serving up a sunny scene with temperatures climbing to a crisp 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will start calm but will lazily drift southwest at 5 to 7 miles per hour by afternoon - perfect for a brisk winter walk.
Tonight, we're looking at increasing clouds with temperatures dipping to around 30 degrees Fahrenheit. A gentle southwest wind of 3 to 5 miles per hour will keep things interesting.
Sunday brings a cloudy morning that'll gradually transform into a mostly sunny afternoon. Expect temperatures to warm up to 44 degrees Fahrenheit with southwest winds shifting to the west at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
As we roll into next week, Monday looks bright and sunny with a high near 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday and Wednesday are keeping the sunshine party going with temperatures climbing to 49 and 54 degrees Fahrenheit respectively.
But hold onto your winter coats, because Thursday is bringing a temperature drop back down to a chilly 37 degrees Fahrenheit, with Thursday night plummeting to a frigid 21 degrees.
Friday closes out our forecast with another sunny day, temperatures holding steady at 37 degrees Fahrenheit.
