There aren’t many companies that truly embody their founders the way Amazon does.

Jeff Bezos is Amazon. Amazon is Jeff Bezos.

But not entirely anymore. In July of 2021, Jeff Bezos stepped down as CEO.

Though he remains the company’s executive chairman, he no longer runs day to day operations.

Regardless of which, Amazon’s principles set in the early days of its existence by Jeff Bezos, still reign supreme at the company.

These principles are a big factor in the company growing it’s revenues to almost 400 billion in 2020.

And in this episode, we dive deep into Amazon’s core philosophies, that they shared in their first letter to shareholders, all the way back in 1997.
