30th Sutra Chapter 2: 4th Yama: Brahmcharya Brahmcharya means finding out which desires come from our hearts, and which, are “mind made.” To discern which desires come from our own divinity, and which come from our restless minds. It means searching for the desire of the soul. What is it that we truly want? To answer such a question requires great courage. It means channelising our energies, our body, mind and soul towards our ultimate goal. ——————————————— अहिंसासत्यास्तेयब्रह्मचर्यापरिग्रहा यमाः ahimsasatyasteyabrahmacharyaparigraha yamah · ahimsa - non-violence · satya - truth fulness · asteya - non-stealing · brahmacharya - continence · aparigraha - non-possessiveness, non-greed · yamah - external discipline, attitude towards others ----------------------------- अहिंसा , सत्य , अस्तेय , ब्रह्मचर्य , अपरिग्रहा: , यमाः॥ • अहिंसा - अहिंसा • सत्य - यथार्थ ज्ञान • अस्तेय - अस्तेय(चाेरी का अभाव) • ब्रह्मचर्य - ब्रह्मचर्य (और) • अपरिग्रहा: - अपरिग्रह(संग्रह का अभाव) - • यमाः - (ये पाँच) यम हैं । अहिंसा, यथार्थ ज्ञान, अस्तेय(चाेरी का अभाव), ब्रह्मचर्य और अपरिग्रह(संग्रह का अभाव) - ये पाँच यम हैं ।
