You know those times in life when things get really rough? We’ve all known them. Sometimes there are people there for you, supporting you through. Too often, that’s not the case. People are busy in their own lives. Attention spans are short. In our mobile world with people relocating out of choice or necessity, you may not yet have developed a network of caring friends. I have a dear friend who has been through tough times that have prompted her to create an unusual solution.

After separating from her husband of 20 years, and then being diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Candace knew she was going to need support to get through it. What started by asking a few friends to show up for her, has become a community of women committed to showing up for each other in whatever ways are needed.

Candace is now on a mission to ensure that all women who want a community of Women Who Have Their Back can create one. She has started a non-profit and created a template that women anywhere in the world can use to create their own WWHYB groups. Candace has been a spiritual counselor since 1994, loves mentoring girls and women, and cherishes every opportunity to make a difference.
