Don't miss our conversation with the vice captain of our SA men's field hockey team, Keenan Horne. Keenan stands out as an elite athlete with many outstanding sporting accomplishments. He is an Olympian, played in a World Cup, Commonwealth Games, is a Nations Cup champion and is a pro league player in Europe. Yet, he has a clear understanding that his sporting career is not all-encompassing. Early in his career, he understood the realities faced by all pro sports people, and diligently pursued his academics and carved a professional career outside of sport, while still at his sporting peak. It's a great story of the underdog who received no handouts or special treatment growing up. Despite this, he achieved sporting, academic and many other achievements, while clearly understanding God's perfect will for his life needing to be the guiding force. We encourage you to listen to this inspiring story of a highly-focused, God-centred, no-excuses, outstanding achiever who can clearly teach us some principles of understanding our true identity and winning on the fields of sport, and life.
