"Creating a sanctuary for all spectrums of people to come together and heal" Jeff talking about Oakland Acupuncture Project. Jeff received his California acupuncture license and M.S. in Asian Medicine from AIMC in 2008. After a year of successfully working in private practice, Jeff decided to make a change. He met with the founders of Oakland Acupuncture Project (OAP), Roselle and Whitney, in 2009, to find out more about community acupuncture (CA). He started working at OAP in early 2010 as a substitute acupuncturist while still maintaining his private practice. By August 2010, they had hired him on for two permanent shifts. When the time came for him to open his own community clinic, they asked him to stay with the company and help them open a 2nd location on Grand Ave. Since then they have continued to grow. Oakland Acupuncture Project opened a third clinic location, Sacramento Acupuncture Project, in 2015. Aside from continuing to personally providing an average of 80 acupuncture treatments a week, Jeff oversee’s (with his co-owner Whitney) the operations of the three clinic locations and manage 8 permanent acupuncture employees and a handful of substitute acupuncturists. He started training staff in 2012. Since then he has refined all the training systems and have taught over 30 acupuncturists how to do CA the OAP way.
