Fighting Fit for Film
As per the famous Guinness slogan: “Good things come to those who wait” (other stouts and mottos are available!) and Drew and Sam have had to wait a while for this week’s guest to be able to find a slot in his incredibly full diary to join them. But safe to say the brilliant Michael Hoad is more than worth the wait.
An internationally successful martial artist and personal trainer, Michael built on his expertise and pursued his dream to make films and tell stories. Attending film school, he learned and honed his art, while still continuing his training and maintaining his martial arts skills, and as a result has combined these two demanding careers to become a fantastic filmmaker.
Not only is Michael is in great demand as an actor, but he also often turns his hand to directing, and is regularly found playing producer too, running his own film company Lost Boys Films. He never stops learning and one of the secrets of his success is his willingness to ask questions and improve, and as someone who is constantly trying to improve, he embraces the things he has learned and is keen to pass them on, somehow finding time in his hectic schedule to coach others in the industry.
